JOYA-E, or Year-end Service, will be held at the Buddhist Temple on
December 31, 2005, at 7:30 pm, led by Rev. Yushi Mukojima. The short
service will include chanting, meditation, and Dharma talk by Rev. Mukojima,
who will share his thoughts about another year coming to a close and a new
one beginning.

Everyone is then welcome to enjoy
a bowlful of traditional soba
(buckwheat noodles) prepared by
ladies of the Sangha in the
downstairs kitchen.

attendance are invited to ring the
temple's Kansho, or temple bell,
which hangs in a room adjoining
the Hondo hall.
